Is it just me, or is the bare-bones console starting to get nice and stable? After flirting with WinXP for a few months, I'm back to 98se on 5 full time folders, all running the console.

I'm just a bit miffed at Statsman right now as I really wanted to see the difference on a week/day basis. I was able to catch a few updates and I was certantly seeing upwards of 5 WU's a day increase.

I'm certantly of the opinon that the Graphical client bogs down output just as the screensaver version did in v1.34.

I urge the rest of you running muliple machines that aren't doing much to go w/ 98se and the plain vanilla console. If we had 10 active folders do this, we would get a solid bump in production.

Fold on! :D

Did you use fold monitor to actually see if the console is faster on the same OS? or the same folding version on different OS? I am wondering if the speed increase is from the different version of folding@home or the different OS. Also can I test the console only ver. without deleting my graphcal client /w screensaver or will both mess everything up.

I have two systems running XP very stable for me anyway. Infact I dont have the problem of losing work if I need to reboot. Before in 98se I would lose all my work and have to start over. Sense I would have to reboot maybe once everyother day XP should help me output more wu in a weeks time.

Only problem I had was getting my RAID array up under XP but thats bad driver support by AMI

Its late am sick if I make no sense just pass this post by :)
