For a while now, I've been buying:
http://www.xoxide.com/logisys-15in-ccfl-blue.html

Stuff like that, those cold cathodes work great. Even without the Sound Module. They light up the case great, and it's awesome having perfect spots to stick them in a case to light up certain areas.

Only thing about them is:

-They have a huge inverter you need to attach them to, Not only that, but it needs to be velcro'd to the inside of your case, and can only handle two sticks, meaning, if you wanted three sticks, or even 4, you'd need two of the stupid inverters.
-Lots of wires.. for a simple LED stick, there are an awful lot of wires. You've got a 4 prong adapter to plug into the PSU, and wires to stretch to the back of the case, to plug in the switch on the outside of the case, wires that link to the inverter, and back to the cold cathode.
-The switch. The switch is unnecessary, I've got it in my case, I want it to be on. Not only does it take up a good PCI slot, but as stated above, if I want 3 or 4 cold cathodes in my case, then I'll have to use two switches, taking up two spots.
-The Velcro, after a while, I start to see my LED's sagging, in some cases, I've had them on the top of the case, and slowly I see them start falling across my side panel window. This has been easily fixed in the past by buying rolls of Velcro, not from the manufacturer that sells these.

So, basically, I'm wanting some badass lighting that doesn't come with the inverters or switches, long wires I can deal with. The Velcro I can deal with. Are there any simple LED's that will just plug directly into the power supply? Just one wire connecting directly to that. That's all, I can thread that with a threading kit, and it'll look fine.

Any suggestions or input? What have people in the past used?

You'll have to make your own molex adaptor, but these might work better for you.

That looks cool. I also found this thread:

I'm going to have to read up on doing this myself though, I've never really messed with this kind of stuff.
