I never seen this type before? Maybe someone can give me some insight on it?
Is that a slot board? Maybe for a dual fan hsf?

Is that on the Acer board? I've never seen a fan connector like that before.. I suppose you could take a voltmeter to the leads to see if it's usable at all.

yup I'm guessing it's a fan header because it says Fn1 but anyway..I'm sure it has power because I tryed forceing something in their once and it starting makeing a burning smell..thats when I stoped pluging stuff in their...It also made my PII450 fan stop running..But after a few it started up again.

I saw one of those very recently, it was on an old hyundai 486 laptop that my friends and I have taken apart over the past few days.
It's the plug that connected to batteries to the mobo, the plug has four pins, but there's only four wires leading to it, one spot just got skipped.
that's the most useful insight I can provide, if it does at all
