So I am trying to piece all the little pieces of my system together and ave a few questions:

-ek, d-tek, or swiftech 1/2'' OD barbs?

-Do I need clamps on the MCRES barbs? Just the hose-clamp ones work?

-I am assuming teflon tape everything? Regardless of o-ring? Can't hurt right?

1) Depends on your preference of blocks/price

2) Yes you need clamps on evrything!. You don't want one of those joints to come loose.

3) Teflon tape on the threads of the fittings won't hurt at all.

A little precaution now will save alot of grief later ;)

well what's the difference on the barbs? One provide anything over the other? One better suited for a certain clamp type? Thanks :)

I use swifty's because they're cheap.

Just the what?

If you're using 7/16" ID tubes you can get away with it, but otherwise you do need clamps.

That's what I do. Just make sure the tape doesn't get in the o-ring's way.

The EK barbs are far better. They have recessed o rings which give a fool proof fit.
