So, yesterday I got a Wii (my first console post-PS2) because I thought it was something that my gf would like. I was right, she loves the thing and so far we have only played Wii sports and Wii Play! I have a friend that has Raving Rabbits (which I can probably borrow)....so any suggestions on games that may appeal to my gf? I plan on getting MP3:C for myself....but I'm sure there are tons of party games my gf would like...I just don't know of any specific titles.

(Oh, my Olevia 747i arrives today....a huge upgrade from my 27" CRT tv!!)

Hmm . . . You could try out Super Swing Golf and see if she digs that. It's like Wii Sports golf on steroids, so she might dig it. You could also try out Excite Truck and see if she likes that. You probably can't go wrong with Mario Party for a mini-game fest. She might like Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, too.

It's hard to say what she'd like 'cause we don't know her. Give us a bit more background, or maybe just take her along with you to Blockbuster and see if something catches her eye.

She may like Mario Strikers Charged. I have heard of a lot of girls, that do not play video games, enjoying that game.

thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, I think she might like monkey ball....and I totally forgot about Mario party. Maybe renting or getting a Gamefly membership is the way to go. Too many games to choose from.....

Is there a purse or shoe shopping sim?

One of those would kill with the ladies.

I can see it now. It would utilize the Miis for something other than a bobble head or riding cows, and playing with your significant other would be absolutely mandatory. If Player 2's Wiimote stopped moving for a while, or remained in a slumped position for too long, the onscreen Mii would yell at player 2.

Player 1's Mii would ask about various outfits that all look the same and frown when player 2 selected 1) that looks alright (from a list of choices that consists of 'That looks alright', 'That looks ok', and 'It's not the dress that makes you look fat, it's your ass'.)

Walking by the Yogen Fruz with a dirty look on Player 1's Mii's face while player 2's Mii stares longingly at the barely legal schoolgirls licking their tasty frozen treats, would also be part of the game, and this would be followed by a quick slap to the face and Player 1's Mii running away, while Player 2's Mii would jog sheepishly behind her while sobbing noises came out of the Wii Remote's internal speaker.

Sign me up. How do I become a beta tester for that?

You seem knowledgeable with the Wii(duh):) Which golf would you recommend for anybody. Looking for a golf game to play on the Wii and I've heard Tiger Woods 08 isn't that great.

Sorry for the threadjack, I just don't want to populate the forums with senseless posts. IF you want me to delete my post OP, I will.

I know its not a Wii only game but...

Resident Evil 4 is the most fun I've had in a long time. Granted I haven't played the new Metroid yet, but this game is absolute blast.

It is definitely worth picking up if you haven't played it before. It also helps if your girlfriend is really jumpy and scares easily (mine is).

I don't think his girlfriend will dig Resident Evil 4, brother ;)

I dunno man, my bro used to play RE4 with his GF watching, she was actually asking why he stopped playing like last week, hahaha.

My girl could never play it (she is a huge console gamer, much more so than I am) admittedly, but she loves watching.

Within the first 30 minutes of the game you run into your first chainsaw guy. When she heard the chainsaw start (before we could see him) she screamed, jumped up, and ran out of the room. I had to quit playing I was laughing so hard.

Turn the lights down/off, put it through surround sound, sit down on the couch and watch your girl get the crap scared out of her. We have a blast.

First off I think we should not judge his girlfriend stereotypically and say she'll only like games that don't require you to shoot or move fast....I have turned a few GF onto the video game scene and I've been surprised at what they like.

Now do you want a game she would like or both of you can play simultaneously?
Zelda is a good bet, so is super paper mario, never played trauma center for Wii but I love the DS version, she'd like that too.

on the horizon your in luck, Mario Galazy is coming, and so is Raving Rabbids 2..which was built Wii only, should be a great multi player.

Mario party got bad reviews..and I played it once...never wanted to buy it.

Ravin Rabbids is pretty hillarious, also consider Harry Potter and My Sims (http://www.gametrailers.com/game/3444.html).

We're going to have to get you signed on with EA to do a sim game. My wife HATES video games, but this... I'm sure she'd be all in. Hell, she'd be ranked top 10 on the player score boards.

My Sims actually looks kinda cool, but looks like you'd get cavities after playing it for too long.

Cooking Mama . . . I'd rather go buy food and cook it myself. That way, I actually get to eat a meal, and if I do it wrong, Mama won't chop my fingers off.

I've had my Wii for about 6 weeks, but I haven't played very many games for it yet. My guess would be that Wii Sports, or WarioWare would be good titles for your GF.

My gf likes Wii sports and Wii play....I want to find more titles for her. I told her about cooking mama.....she didn't believe the game existed because it "sounded so stupid". lol

Ok, so that a big negative on Cooking Mama from your gf. Grab a few other suggestions from the thread and see where that lands you.

I still think she'll really dig Super Swing Golf, and MySims looks awesome.

You can also get stuff from the virtual console, I don't know if they're on there but Tetris or Dr. Mario would be good bets.
