CPU upgrade for Acer lappy

It's an Acer Aspire 5050, and the turion TL50 in there is a little soft, I was wondering what options I have (if any) of a cpu upgrade.

Call up Acer and see what the motherboard supports. I know my dell supports the Santa Rosa platform, thats why I went with the slowest processor to save money then upgrade in the future.

It's got the ATI Xpress 1100 chipset.

once i purchase the cpu, is installation gonna void my warranty? also is the installation itself complicated?

no its easier to get to than a desktop cpu
