ocz pc8500 and voltage

So right now I appears my rig is not overvolting my memory.

It's at 1.86... I believe I can go to 2.1V without fear right?

I've got an ocz memory cooler over my two sticks....

Also, I'm doing the following OC:

cpu @ 3.2
fsb @ 400
mem @ 800 (1:1)

what I intend is pumping the fsb/mem to 500/1000. What do you think? so that'll be 6.5 X 500 to keep it 1:1...

put it @ 2.1v you should be fine @ 500 4-4-4-12

I'm still a newbie.

I was thinking of a multiplier of 6.5.

Thus 6.5 x fsb 500 = 3250Mhz.

cpu @ 3.25Ghz
fsb @ 500Mhz
mem @ 1000Mhz (1:1)

voltages:
cpu @ 1.4v or 1.5v
mem @ 2.1v
fsb @ ???

From what I've read, it's ideal to keep ram at 1:1... If I follow your config, I'd be having FSB @ 400 and mem @ 1000. Wouldn't it be better to have FSB @ 500?

that depends on if your quad will do 500fsb and if your mb will do 500fsb =)
PPl always say keep it @ a 1:1 but I dont see any differnce my self . I use updivders to get more out of my ram . ram @650mhz benchs faster than 500 @ 1:1

He doesn't need to do a divider, He can run his mem/fsb unlinked(680i)

Well I have the same memory, 2.1V is the stock voltage for it's stock speed (1066 :)) so yeah 2.1 without a problem

You can go 2.3 +- 5% (so 2.35V?) without voiding ocz's lifetime warranty :)

I wonder why my 680i BIOS would set it to 1.86v instead of 2.1v if it could recognize it through EPP.

nearly all mbs are preset to run any memory at 1.8v for compatability.it will default to that no matter what modules you put in if the cmos has been cleared or the bios has never been configured.im not positive but i dont think epp is enabled at first.you may have to enable it thru the bios.
anyhow its best to go in and configure your memory manually,voltage timings and speed.that way you know for sure everything is running at spec.
