Now that the ambient temps have dropped considerably, i've decided to see how far my E2140 can go. Unfortunately, it wasn't much further than my normal 2.9ghz (366 x 8 w/ 1.3125v) stable settings. This is the L2 stepping.

I tried to get 3.1ghz (388 x 8) stable, but had no luck. I pushed cpu volts to 1.35v (bios), set ram on 1:1 divider so it ran under stock, and even pushed +0.1v to both NB and SB, but had no luck. It would load windows, but would shut down after 3 seconds of orthos.

It won't load windows at 3.2ghz. (400 x 8)

Right now, i'm testing 3ghz (375 x 8) w/ 1.3325v (1.325v stock). Ram is running 5-5-5-15 450mhz. Temps are 59 Celsius load.

Looks like i'll have to push 1.4v in order to get it 3.2ghz stable. Either that, or i've hit a fsb wall at ~388fsb.

What is everyone else getting with their E2xxx cpus?

Computer Crashed After 1h Orthos on 3ghz, i bumped voltage one more increment to 1.3375v.

one step at a time. :santa: If i have to bump the voltage anymore, i'll just keep my old 2.9ghz clock.

Right now, i have to increase the core voltage 0.025v in order to get 100mhz more on core and 15mhz more on ram. LOL

I couldn't do much more than 2840 or so with mine; I left it at 2667. Load temps are in the low 60s with stock cooling and voltages.

mines stuck at 2840 as well...

It is up to you but I would give it more juice...

Try 401x8. 400 is particularly stressful on the MCH (NB). 401 will cause it to go into the next strap and lower it's internal clock and loosen it's latencies.

i thought you had to do the padmod to do that?

I'm currently running 390 x 8 (3120) at stock voltage but CPUZ reports 1.28V. Ran Prime95 for several hours and I'm stable. Can't push past the 390 though.
