Newbie here with a problem so basic I'm sure I'm overlooking something.

I added another HD to my old Frankenstein: Abit BE6, PII 450. After I buttoned everything back up I noticed my FD light is always lit. Went in and checked my hardware connections and everything is tight. Did a quick check of my Bios and everything seems in order.

Any suggestions?

A floppy on all the time light is usually caused by the ribbon connector being on backwards.
Flip one end of the cable and see if it helps.

That sounds like your floppy cable it reversed, did you take it off an maybe put in on backwards?

Also, I recently had a floppy problem when I didn't have the master/slave settings correctly on my HD's and Cd Rom drives...
