Hey all

I recently signed back up w/ sprint for another two years and got the Samsung mx510. In the back of my mind, I kinda wanted a pda phone, but decided not to get it. The more I think about it though, the more I think I want one. Question is, does anyone know of a good place to buy a stand alone phone on the net so I can transfer my account to it. I looked around a little but everyone wants to sell phones with a service plan. I tried to search here, but came up short as well (partly because q, as in motorola q, is too short to be used as a search term, :p).

One more question, does anyone know if sprint does any sort of upgrade plan for phones? Like I said, I just recently renewed (about 2 or 3 months ago), so I'm a long way away from the 1 or 2 year mark, but somewhere I heard that they'll let you restart you contract and upgrade your phone at any time.

Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

blackberryforums.com

pinstack.com

pdaphonehome.com

There's a classified section there where people sell phones. Mostly BBs, but sometimes others as well....like iPhones.

(Although, I dont know why some people are buying unlocked iPhones now.)

For Sprint, I'd say get the Mogul. I have the TYTN for ATT, and I couldn't be happier.

I had it, hated it crashed every time i tried to do anything important. (also had the ppc-6700, that was a piece of garbage too)

moved to a Treo and i have never looked back.

Were you using all official software? I'm using all official software on the TYTN [8525], and it has given me zero problems. Just waiting on the official ATT WM6 update to drop to get my ish up to date.

Yup, used it straight up. Horrible if you want to be productive. Fine if you just want to do stuff like watch videos and listen to music.

Its more of a show off to your friends device.

Treo is a workhorse. OS is old and outdated, but very very solid.

i work for sprint..treo is the best phone out there PDA wise, i mean ya the mogul is sweet but you gotta use two hands all the time which is a killer
and palm os is more stable atm

d94,

So is there some sort of upgrade option so I wont have to pay the full price of the phone?
