Hi I recently added a blow hole to my case and changed the directions of the fans. I am getting worse temps now. I need suggestions to which way to turn my fans and the speeds to run them. I am thinking of adding more one fan to the side pointing directly at the CPU. Here is a drawing I did showing current setup...
If your hsf fan blows into the sink fins, try ducting that 80mm next to it into the hsf fan. You can use cardboard and tape for a test setup. I've used heavy printer paper before too.
You didn't reverse the fan on the hsf did ya? I hear the ones with a dense fin pattern need to be blowing toward the fins.
If you do end up adding a fan on the door, go with a 120mm. Then maybe turn the 80mm around to blow out. Mount the 120mm a little low so it'll add cooling to the power bus and the northbridge too. (so the top of the 120 lines up with the top of the hsf.)

Front intake, top chimney and by the CPU try either exhaust or ducting it onto the Heatsink

Thanks. I will try ducting the 800mm to the CPU. How fast should the 120mm that I will mount on the side be? I also may switch out my delta fan on the SK- heatsink to a 80mm Delta running 50cfm instead of 38cfm like mine is.
Hard to say on the fan speed. I've cooled an entire tower with just one panaflo l1a. (downdrafting, to the rad on bottom.)
If your'e running a Delta, you're not concerned with noise. Get the H1A, and maybe a rheostat if you need it quieter. Don't forget a grill, you'd hate to find shredded cat in your box. ;)
