I got a Thermaltake volcano 6u+ and the noise is driving me crazy:mad:. I remember seeing somewhere a fan adapter to put a 80mm fan where a 60mm would go. Has anyone tried these? And where can I get one for a good price? Thanx

Most of the "fan adapters" I have seen were cheap plastic funnels with the end cut off.

I use them all the time to reduce the noise.

I've got few 80mm to 60mm and even some 92mm to 60mm adapters. The key here is not to expect great improvement in temps, but you can certainly expect the noise to be reduced.

I think they're fairly expensive 20 dollars for it jeezes like half the price of a heatsinks.

I don't know about you, but I certainly can't make one for under $20 :)
