Hey there guys,
had my system a while now, and thought finally it time to give it a bit an OC,
currently using:

Intel DuoE6600
EVGA 680I Mobo
Nvida 8800 GTX
2Gb OCuk 1066Mhz
Zalman CPU Cooler
Zalman Heat pipe cooled 600w PSU

Just wondering how these look and are voltages fine? as i havnt much of a clue about them lol..
My stock 3DMARK06 was 10200, with this OC it jumped to 11456, Is that pretty good and you guys think i can squeeze more??

Cheers heres the links..

You should definitely be able to squeeze more. You have plenty of wiggle room with your voltage yet. You should be able to surpass 3.0GHz no sweat! Looks good so far, nice job for your first OC! Just make sure your testing your ram and mobo for stability and take it slow and you should have that thing flying.

Sweet thanks :)..
Just did a torture test with Prime only for 10 mins but max CPU load was 42 degrees C..whats the max recommended temp for these CPU's?

Low to Mid 60's is pretty safe for them. Stay away from 70's. What are you using to monitor your temps?

Nice scores Teknodred with a load temp of 42C you have plenty of room to up your oc.

Very nice OC there .
you can go higher though . Keep going ..

Oooo thx for the support guys :)

That it give me a big enough head until i blow my CPU hehe,
Im using Nvida Monitor, and Core temp,
Are these programs accurate enough??

How high can push my FSB anyway? i have been afraid if there be a limit on there :),

Also anyone know a rough guide of what to do when over clocking the GPU, like how small of an increase should i give it each time, and which speed matter the most?? I.E
GPU core or GPU Memory? is there some sort of ratio i need to keep between them?

Cheers guys!

Well you may want to look over some guides on this .
Also if you have a good HSF you will have to (At some point ) raise the Vcore and this can really stress the CPU and other stuff .
so take it slow and be careful !

Ok after a bit more guts i finally bagged 3050Ghz out of my little beatuies hehe,
I was running Prime95 Torture Blend test at the time, and had a few minor programs open,
How is this looking on the PC load?
I want to aim for as low voltages as possible right but with maximum stability :)?

Thanks again!

Heres how its doing...

Very good . what HSF are you using ? what Mobo do you have ?

Hi there again,

My HSF i use is the Zalman CNP9500,
Tis strange tho,i usually have the fan on min settings,1300Rpm,
But when i crank it up to max on 2700Rpm, It seems to make no difference to my CPU temp,
Now is this normal or is it because i may not have it seated properly lol :)?
Bear in mind this is my 1st self built system ehehe,

The mobo im using is an EVGA 680i 122-CK-NF68 One of the 1st bunch of babies to come out :)

Hope this makes sense hehe,
Cheers for helping out :)

Peace...
