One nice day I decided to take out the ALpha 8045 to replace the cheap white stuff with ASII. It was a pain to take out the sink, at first I tried to turn the screw, but couldn't and the sink lifted up away from the cpu I think, because I booted the computer up and hear 2 quick beeps and nothing happen, tried again, 2 quick beeps again. (got the auto shutdown feature in bios)
So I took the mb out and put ASII on the sink and put it back on. Put everythink back nice and straight. Boot it up....post....windows xp screen.....black screen and nothing happen (fans still on, keyboard is unuseable, harddrive led is on). After I couple of try and switch IDE cables, took out the modem, resit the video card, unpluged everything not neccessary but still the same thing, I was mad and scared and reinstall windows.
Now, When I boot .....normal post.....normal xp screen....blank black screen for 40 sec with nothing going on (the hd led is on, not just blinking, seem like it froze or reading something...then boot into windows. Everything is perfect when already booted, get a normal score in Sandra hd bench.
What's wrong with my harddrive, or is it something else???
Sorry for the long post..thanks guys
