Hey people...i tried editing a movie last night.
I was told to 'censore' a movie, so that it becomes suitable for children...
anyway...what i did was copy the .dat file off the VCD to my hard disk and convert it to mpg, using a software "i can't remember the name!!". and then, i imported it into Adobe Premier v6.0.
i did all the editing and when i tried to export it, i didn't know what compressor and format to use...i just picked Video for Windows and tried to Export...it told me it'll take 14 hours to do so!!!! i am SURE that is not the way!! I need help with compression and video formats in premier and in general...any ideas???
What are the specs of a VCD? is it 480x640 or 240x320 ?? what is FPS? 25 or 29.9? I know that's PAL and NTSC...but which to use on a VCD?! please help if you know about it! and...the sound!! how good is the sound on a VCD??

(last night, i had to use VCD Cutter which is damn simple...but it did what i wanted it to do...but i need more and i want to use premier....oh...and i want to burn it on cd of course!! i used Nero last night...)
thanks guys...i appreciate your help in advance.
