This being my first posting requesting help as a new user trying to get a Commando up and running.

First impression is that this board is unstable at Default settings, as although I managed to boot up, Bios jumps in requesting overclocking data and if you change nothing, F10 should cause a reboot, but it doesnt just goes to a black screen attempts to reboot but doesnt. You have to switch off/on power to restart.

To get out of this loop, I changed one setting ( Dram Freq from Auto to 833) and it now reboots. This is with 2 sticks of Ram in white slots (same with just 1 stick) mobo on bench with just graphics, ram ,cpu connected to PS.
Not sure if I will get more instability later with these settings.

Next problem was I added 2 hdds to the setup trying to install Raid 0 . I put these into skts marked Sata12 (next to ide connector) and a cd/dvd IDE into the single mobo socket, changed default IDE to RAID.
Ctrl-I permits setup of Raid (2x300=600gb).
Now I attempt to install Vista returns with "Unable to read Device". However if I then change back Bios to IDE, I can now read the cd and install Vista but obviously not to a Raid setup.changing cd drives is still the same.

The 6 on board SATA connectors are all configured as Raid once you set that option.

Why should this affect the single IDE connector as it can only be configured as parallel and nothing else. I am totally confused with this board and stuck.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
I just want to get this setup stable before I consider o/cg

Commando mobo :
4 x 1gb Corsair CM2x1024-6400 (only 2 used at present in white slots):
Antec Truepower Trio 650w
Intel Core2 duo E6850 3GHz- stock fan
MSI NX8600GTS graphics

When i had my commando i found that it sets the wrong voltage and timmings for the memory, check to see what your mem is rated for and set it manually. As for raid i never set that up sorry i cant help with this bit. And the last thing:welcome: to the forums and enjoy your stay.
