Here's a thought, using modeling putty to fill in the laser lock.
Some advantages:
Much easier to work with than super glue
Can be removed
Not conductive
Non-flammable <-the kind that I bought
Cool idea:beer: The Tamiya 2 part putty would be a good product for this if you want a permanent mod. Just twist equal parts, like clay, then rubb it in with your thumb. After a few they harden & your all set.

Use silicone thermal paste! Removable, non conductive and proven.

Have you tried your local hardware stores? They should carry woodwork putty.

I have been looking at that material, since I just used some to fix then paint the door I kicked down in the house, but it seems to absorb any kind of moisture even after drying so it's a no no. Don't worry about me bud:beer: I was just playin':D
