You just use a CD burning program and write the mp3 files as, well, files. You make a data CD and just put the MP3s on there as if you were just making a Data backup CD.

his car MP3 player can read MP3 format, so he doesn't need to convert it to normal CD....so he should be able to fit 100 or more songs per CD.

Modern Microsoft products offer drag and drop onto CDs. So all you do is open the CD drive icon (with a CD in of course). Then start draging the MP3's to that. Pretty much drag and drop. Keep in mind the disc only holds 700MB.
There is numerous applications also that are called after market programs. Some you pay some not. Some even enhance the built in burning of XP/Vista. IIRC, most burners come with a light copy of Nero. So you can also use that also and drag and drop if it is installed. Even if your OEM (if applicable) has one pre-installed for you.
MP3 is handled as data, Not music per sey, when your working with them burning. Unless your making an actual music CD.
