I can play the game fine on xp!
But when i try to play it on vista 32 bit i get this message:

"this application may run out of address space with some configurations and video cards, resulting in stability problems. It is recommended that you instal the latest vista service pack and check for updated video drivers"

And this page:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/940105

What could cause this?

Maybe you don't have a DX10 compatible video card? Either that or you need to download that virtual memory patch for Vista.

EDIT:

Windows Vista, 32-bit versions
Download the 940105 package now

thanks Rainless. That bug is reaaaally annoying. After switching like...8 pieces of armor total, the vmem conks out. :(

EDIT: Except for the fact that when I try to run the update it tells me "This update does not apply to your system". >_< I'll kill them

Basically, you get the message then you download the update. It might install or it might not, depends on if you need the update. Even if you dont need it, you will need to restart in order for hellgate:london to run without bitching at you about the windows update.

Maybe we're thinking about different problems...

Hellgate never yelled at me about updating. It's just leaking memory like crazy and apparently this is the fix for it but it's just not installing. I'll restart and try a few more times later though.

i have the same problem as OP. reboot, no help. it won't even run.

Vista 32, Q6600, 2GB ram, 8800 gtx... etc. shouldn't be a problem!

I'm able to play the game but every at random intervals the screen just goes black and then blank then comes back to the game. Eventually it gets really bad and happens every few seconds. The game is pretty fun but this is getting on my nerves.

Vista x64 here.
