why is my ram speed reading 400mhz when its suppose to be 800mhz'
i have read in a cpl of forums that due to thr mobo only supporting 1.95 v for ram it does that.my spc specs are below and all the details please help..btw i can give higher voltage thru aibooster 1.95v and up

DDR2 = DDRx2

2x400 = 800 :)

Not underclocked.

None of those screenshots even show your RAM speed. You need to capture the Memory tab of CPU-Z. The SPD tab just shows your RAM's rated speeds, not the speed it is actually running.

DDR2-800 runs at 400MHz, but since it is Double Data Rate (DDR) it moves bits twice that fast.

FYI:
DDR2-1066 = 533MHz
DDR2-800 = 400MHz
DDR2-667 = 333MHz
DDR2-533 = 266MHz
DDR-400 = 200MHz
DDR-333 = 166MHz
DDR-266 = 133MHz

Yes :)

you could probably just take 1 stick of ram out, boot to bios, reset bios, then put the stick back in. easier than taking out the battery

I would rather take out the battery :)

ddr is dual data rate which it processes twice the info that a normal sdram would. It's kinda like a dual core cpu or something.

I made the same mistake when I was "tweaking" - very rarely pay any attention to the POST screen otherwise... then I saw "400" and was all "WHAT!?!"...

...We all make that mistake...... don't we?
