I want to make a blow hole in the side of my case and I only have an old 250Watt regular drill, what can I do to make a nice and round hole w/o using anything extra for the drill?

I would suggest buying a hole saw. I don't know if this falls into the category of "anything extra for the drill", but it will give you a VERY nice round hole withouth having to make any major investments. You can get them on the web for a reasonable price, or if you're willing to pay more, Home Depot or Lowes or whatever local tool-type-place you have around your area will probably carry them.

I think it is considered an extra for me, I don't have any way to get any parts for my drill
Do you have a file? Just mark out the circle, drill as many times as required then file out the rest:eek:

Sonny, great suggestion. Thanks, I think I'm going to measure the exact position the fan will have to be at, and do it tommorow or the day after.
Dont forget to use a concrete nail to make a small indentation on the material as a guide so that the bit will go exactly were you point it:beer:

OMG!!!
I made that hole yesterday and came out terrible, I don't have a digicam so I can't post the pic of it but it looks awfull, I'm its all riged from the drilled holes.... I'm glad that I'm putting all my fans on the outside so it blocks the hole... But my mobo temps went down by 5-6C° and CPU temps always 44C° b4 it was 44-45C°..
I'm pretty glad I made it though, I don't care too much how my old comp's case looks on the outside...
Thanks guys for the help.
Can't you file down the edges:eh?: I did that for a friends case & it's totally clean:confused:

I may try it out later... Can't find my files :o
Got a nibbler? It make filing easier after you chew out some chunks with it.

THat or get some rubber seal for car doors kinda stuff.. and line the edge of the hole with it... cover the roughness a little bit.. granted if its that rough it wont work.. but that would cover some of it up... !~!
don't you guys have wal-mart in Israel?;)

it may not be the best thing in the world but if you know how to handle it just get a dremel with metal cutting discs and trace the outline of a circle the size of the fan. after that just use one of the grinding bits they make to smooth out the edges.
