Whitch would crunch better,
K63 450 or a K62 500??

I think the 450 but what do you think. I have them both just sitting here begging to crunch WU's and only the spare parts to ues one.

Be a close call but I'd say the K6-3 as well. Think they moved the L2 cache on the die in the 3s and that was what the difference was between the two.

Could always try them both out by using the SETI benchmark test we have up. Would prove once and for all as well as adding a couple entries into the database.

The K6-3 will crunch faster. Jon is right that the L2 was on die, and the K6-3 will utilize L3 cache if the mobo is compatible. In the beginning I crunched with a K6-2 400 and a K6-3 450 and the K6-3 was about 1.5 hours faster than the K6-2 with the lambchop bench mark.
