Radiator placement in closed loop

I've managed to obtain a heater core but there is just one problem, I'm going for a 1/2 inch system but just one of the pipes is 1/2 inch, the other is 3/8. Should I change it to 1/2 or just leave that one like it is. If so, in what direction should I put it?

I'd suggest using the 3/8 tube to go the waterblock from the heater core. This should give the water more time in the radiator, and good velocity through the waterblock.

So you're saying just change the 3/8 end to 1/2?

if you do it like what diggrr said....i ran mine on 3/8 just don't run it at a 1/4
