Why do you need a VMod on this board?

there is a hellatios droop under load causing memtest errors and the like
May be a PSU issue have you check your rails under load? with a MM
And no the mod is a VR mod meaning lower the resistance and you raise the vddim.
If your using BH-5 its the safest way and no you wont be stuck at 3.3. use the 50kohms trimmer to adjust to +.002 over what you need. so if you wont 3.4 for your BH-5 you got to turn it up to 3.7 Now keep in mind that everything in your PC that uses the 3.3v will now be getting 3.7 so just use what you need. Or better yet is to trade that PSU for a adjustable 3.3 rail OCZ 520 and use the mod bios that has vidd to 4.0
Best way is to sale the 2x512 and get you 2x1 Gig Geil BlueValue they clock to 250 just like the other only 3 chips being used on 1 gig sticks. :D

the PSU reads 3.35v. off the board though its at idle fluctuating between 3.17v-3.21v i didnt bother to check under load considering how it is at idle. i tried another PSU, a 600w cooler master i belive it was, it proved the same result only 3.36 off the psu and the same spread off the board. early revision board i hear are worse about the droop than the newer, this is an a3 revision board. pretty early
msmolt its not worth to put the money into it for more ram and what not. the ram would then cost about 75% of what i have invested in the system already and i'm also buliding a new system. ram chips that clock to 250 are fine but i am trying to go beyond that and i know this hyper x can. on a socket A system i have had them up to 295Mhz on 3.1v but this system cant get much beyond 250.
i'm going to keep the system it wont be my main but i want it to run faster still
I hope you are cooling the 4V FET?

Drop an 80mm fan over it.

oh if dropping a fan over it is all it needs than its set, i got a 120mm fan blowing over the ram and it kinda hits the whole area.
i thought you meant sinking it but then again its kinda small to do that huh.
