My 3DMark 06 Score [Archive] - Overclockers Forums

I just downloaded & installed 3DMark 06, haven't done any OC'ing yet, and had other things going in the background, MSN, AIM, Yahell, some internet browsers & Rivatuner going. Not sure if they would affect the score or not but will find out later when I do with nothing running.

Anyhow hows this for a score for my specs below all stock.

Score is kinda on the low side IMO, I get around 12000 on the same card

I thought so too but like I said I have graphics cranked in NV settings & had a lot of crap running & have yet to run a defrag yet, I just reloaded my windows. I'm going to run another probably tomorrow.

You do have AMD CPU, so thats holding you back as well. You not going to see more then 9500k of a score.

My score is 9.5k with an 8800gtx and an opty 165 @ 2.6

I got a 11,500 with my super bloated not formatted in 3 years, with 80 programs installed HDD.

Your CPU is gonna hold you back :(

Your score is right, for the rig in your sig at stock speed. if you had a C2D @ stock speed it would be around 9K, A stock quad (Q6600) will get close to 10K.

stock q6600 and 8800 gts will score 10600.

Yep CPU is holding you back in score. It shouldn't hold you back too much in games though.
