Tell me what you think about this...
I'm building a new system and late Friday Night I placed a COD order for a IBM 60GB H/D, 512MB of Kingston PC2100, and some Arctic Silver Compound & Adhesive.
The COD terms for this company is that you have to fax them a copy of your D/L before the order will be shipped, which I was going to do on Monday. Sunday I checked the status of my order, mostly out of boredom, but also because there was some contradicting terms about COD orders, and found my order said "Rejected". This did not set well, but I was some-what expecting a problem due to their indecisive terms.
I placed the order with another company and sent a e-mail to confirm the cancellation of the first order, just incase.
Monday I got a reply saying that my COD order had already been shipped and that I could decline the delivery when it arrived. Ok...what about faxing my ID first before shipment? Anyway, no harm done.
Wednesday I got 3 boxes of components and one was a COD, but from a different company. I never thought about the COD I was told to decline, until I was unpacking everything and realized I had 2 IBM H/D, 2 orders of Arctic Silver and 512MB of PC2100. :eek:
(On my reorder, I got PC2700)
I didn't know why I wasn't made to pay the COD, until I looked at the shipping receipt. "Pre Paid/Cashiers Check"!
Could I be so lucky as to have received a free IBM Hard Drive and 512MB of Kingston DDR, not to mention the extra A/S?
My friends think so...what do you think??
