Hi everyone!
I have these fan at home, I just want to know if they may be in any use to cool down my PC.
they are all 120V 60Hz, I dont know their CFM, rpm, and other spec, so if u have any info, tell me!
There is the pic!
P.S. many pic show the fan on differents angles
None of the pics showed up.

they are showing up because you are linking them to your computer...
For example, the link on your first pic is "file:///C:/Program%20Files/FinePixViewer/2001_1220/Fan1.JPG" That is on your hard drive, you are not uploading, and you cannot link like that unless they are elsewhere on the internet.
You need to use the attach feature at the bottom when you post...
Also, editing the above posts will not work.
Yeah and inside you are putting
file:///C:/Program%20Files/FinePixViewer/2001_1220/Fan1.JPG
Click the attach file button below, and attach a file!

thanks!
it help a lot
but do u tink that those squirell cage fan can be couple with a rehostat, so I can control the rpm?...
they are 120v, with a transfo
Yeah, probably, but it might get real hot.

you mean I can "regulate" the voltage that goes in the transfo, this will reduce the rpm?
would this fry the transfo
(I dont tink, but I'am not an expert, so I'am asking)

Look for an SCR motor speed controller. Works usually up to 10-15 amps at a time at 120vac. Cheap too (usually) around $10.
Good idea:
Hook it up to a dimmer switch like for lights.

should I use a dimmer switch for light or those for ventilator ..... (they are about 10-15$, like the scr motor speed controller you where talking about

The "dimmer switch" for a ventilator is exactly what you need. It's the same thing that I was talking about. Actually, a dimmer switch of any kind should work as long as it's rated for the load.....which I can't see being more than a hundred watts anyway. Add up the wattage of the fans and get a dimmer rated for more. If you need to figure out the wattage just add the current and multiply by the voltage i.e. 1 amp x 120 volts = 120 watts. Most dimmers I think will handle 500-600 watts or so, so you don't have to worry about anything.
That is a good idea.
Just pull it from your wall
