Bob,

It very simple, I have the exact card which I removed the plasic pegs and the spring loaded pegs.

Heres what to do:

Theres the EZ way and the right way so you can save the pegs.

(I'll start with the right way)
Go to the supermarket and or drug store and buy a .99 cent plastic tweezers. Then place your card on a soft towel with the Heatsink on the Towel with the rear of the card facing you.

Take the Tweezers and grip the Pegs with the plastic tweezers and the peg will get narrow and then will slide out. (All pegs incuding Memory heatspreader spring pins)

The Ez way is to Cut the top off all the pins and push them down from the top to the bottom

But push them down with something plastic so if you slip you wont break a resistor or damage the pcb.

or try this as well to remove the two different type of fasteners:

Place black electrical tape around the pcb and use needle nose pliers you need to alter the shape of that bulb type fastener to get it out. I was able to do it with Plastic tweezers that were rigid and not flimsy plastic.
