By the looks of this last picture Newegg is now guaranteeing UPS will abuse your package.
Kinda funny seeing just about everyone of my packages come to me like this now. And I order from them at least once a week.

I have yet to have a single package damaged by UPS. But then again, I ship everything FedEx.

lol.. My UPS driver must dislike me.. I have a folder I keep of pictures of the mishandled packages. I've had packages delivered to me ripped wide open. Yet I've only had a few items actually damaged. I thought the picture on there website was kinda funny though. :)

Its generally not the delivery drivers who abuse the packages anyway.. I'd figure 90% of damage is done by the loaders.

That is hilarious. "Excuse me Newegg, but the box appears damaged....err just like the picture in the ad..." Maybe it's like those pre-stressed jeans... Pre-damaged boxes... Dumpster Chic.

I am VERY surprised they took the picture of the box and posted it.

UPS killed my first 22" LCD. The box looked llike it had been in a war. UPS then purchased said monitor.
i jsut got one delivered this week from newegg by UPS. Looked like some one punched in the side but luckily all the contents were accounted for and unharmed. when i get home tonight i'll post a picture. It's a pretty big hole/gash so i was a little worried that some one took something from the box.

Everything I've ordered lately has been small light boxes, but arrive here just fine.
Bigger things, I'll goto ZZF and get Free FEDEX Ground and NO TAX.
But that pic is funny as hell though.

Never had a problem with UPS, after 100+ shipments from them. Maybe it is just my area..

hahaha newegg is so funny, they must have overlooked that crushed box.
still UPS is hit and miss, ive shipped over 100 packages all ups, and ive never had one get lost. Although ive had beat up packages arrive at my house before.

drivers dont typically load their own trucks, most of the damage done to packages is done on the belt or by the guys/girls loading the big 53' trailers...and about half of that can be attributed to the guy up on the belt that refuses to slow down so everyone can get caught up, which causes the belt to back up and start spittin packages off the side. when i worked in the UPS hub, i saw lots of packages fall off the belt to go tumbling 20 feet to the concrete.
I am VERY surprised they took the picture of the box and posted it.
Seriously. I wonder who was in charge of that operation. lol
Welcome to UPS...SURPISE!

My order came in and the box was a little banged up but the parts were all fine so far. I am still working on it atm

It's a common courtesy for USP to drop kick your box off the loading paddock before it gets to the truck. Thats What Brown Can Do For You®

I have personally watched UPS drivers stand on multiple boxes to get at the boxes on the very top. And I personally observed that one of the boxes said FRAGILE across it. The top was bowed in by that point, of course. The driver never even looked to see what he may be stepping on.

haha nice crushed box picture. Box aside, that computer is pretty cool looking. It reminds me of the original old skool NES.

I might have just been lucky, but I've never had any problems with UPS here. :)
Still, that picture is pretty funny. I wonder if they actually ship the boxes out like that. :p
Never had any damaged items yet (from ups) but, I have received packaged with holes and massively crushed corners. Also one time a driver either kicked or threw a package out the back of the truck against my house... A all-in-one printer makes quite a thud on wood.
It's probably the best condition box they had. :p

my little bro caught the ups guy tossing his multiple box order for his new build onto our front step.
i had a marble top bathroom cabinet (like 16"x16"x36") shipped to my place for christmas last year. despite a veritable cage of packing material, the box got dropped hard on a corner and broke the marble. that's really the only damage that i've experienced. i had a guitar shipped to me when i was in my apartment though. the delivery guy (i think ups) left it at my door in plain sight and it said "WASHBURN" across it in big letters. he could have easily left it at the leasing office. i'm glad my neighbors aren't thieves.

Our UPS guy like to drop our packages on our patio if we're not home. We're a basement level apartment, the drop is 7ft...onto concrete. Surprisingly all our stuff has been unharmed, even my roommates laptop.

As someone who personally knows a Fed-EX loader, I can personally guarantee you that he literally give a rats A** about your package. Him and his friends just mess around throwing packages at each other and drop them for fun. He told me that some of them like abusing plasma and LCD t.v.s just for kicks. I know, it hurts me to but the reality is that all of these shipping companies are probably the same.
I find that morbidly funny moomasster. Proves the amount of idiots in this world rofl.
I got a box month back in which the entire 1st floor of my Dorm was littered with packing peanuts because the box was gashed open. I walked down to claim my package and went "Oh S*&%, I recognize those pinkish peanuts, noooooo." They were all over the place and the receptionist was pretty ****ed.
Epilon, ASU?
When I lived inTempe, UPS would just mangle my stuff. Destroyed about 1/2 the time!
Now, I live 7 miles away, and my stuff goes through a different warehouse. Haven't seen a damaged box at all! (Well, small scratches and smudges, but NOTHING like I used to see!)
