samsung dvd-roms any good?

i'm looking to buy a dvd-rom drive, and have come across the samsung sd-616b 16x drive. it's a really good price.

just like to know if anyone out there has good or bad experiences with this drive or any other samsung dvd-rom drive?

i'm looking to get an rpc-1 firmware for it and run it in win xp pro. any issues with this?
