I recently purchased an XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX for my Gateway 838GM. I've been researching PSU's and think I should I should upgrade but my budget is $80. Any feedback on quality PSU's in my budget that meet my requirements is appreciated.

$79.99 with Google Checkout discount and free shipping. That's what everyone here will recommend. It's one of the best sub-$100 PSUs on the market right now (I'd go so far as to say it's the best).

I know. I got my HX620 from Buy.com also, and mine was $120 or so after a $20 rebate (which I have received). Now, it's $109.99 (http://www.buy.com/prod/corsair-620w-sli-certified-modular-atx-power-supply/q/loc/101/203270718.html).
I hate how fast computer part prices go down. :(

Tporter,
Have you opened the case to check the measurements of the Gateway stock psu??? Years ago they used to use some exceptionally small sized psu's.
Measure twice cut once :eek::eek:

Measure twice cut once :eek::eek:As long as it is a mid-tower, it has to have an ATX power supply. So it should fit. The smaller ones (forgot what they are called >.<) are in the "slim" cases with reduced power parts.
