Found the demo boring. Pretty but generic. Bit bizarre, I don't know, the fictional universe created for the game just doesn't seem convincing to me, but maybe I'm being picky. :)

I played the Demo, it was rather short but intresting.

And you can't have a 6.0 rating in Vista currently. The rating system was set in a way which with upgrades in hardware they could raise the rating system up to match the computers needs of tomorrows software.

If it's anything like Undying it will probably be a good game, although I personally have not played the demo. Undying was a sleeper, not many people knew about it, but once played they loved it, very creepy, good graphics for the time, good storyline.

Undying was way too scary for me. I can't handle these games at all. When I play a game I wanna have fun, not be scared out of my wits and go BS on my dog for scaring the hell out of me while I'm playing. Doom 3, FEAR SP, Undying, Ravenholm in HL2... can't do it. ASk my girlfriend, she thought it was a joke. Then I told her to play FEAR SP, and after 5 minutes she had to step away from the keyboard. I hate scary games. Though FEAR MP is nice, because there's no creepiness in it.

I bloody loved undying, but so far this is pretty poor.

My opinion is based on the feel of the game alone, and I haven't got very far in it (I've just gone back inside that bunker place for the second time near the start). The one gun I have is not satisfying (edit: I have got further, can use all of the initial team now and almost all the weapons are unsatisfying and weak seeming). There's no sprint option, no jumping, and the mouse sensitivity only has 3 levels? No quicksave, too many enemies (I feel that it's better to have a few hard ones, so they all matter more and it doesn't become like Serious Sam) and all in all it just has too consoley a feel to it. It just seems like a boring shooter on rails.

A barrage of enemies rising up from the ground detracts from the credibility and removes any scary element from the game.

Edit: And OH GOD it's got those bloody 'button appears onscreen, quick press it!' sequences. That is bloody pathetic.

On the positive side, the graphics are decent.

Finally tried the demo, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't my cup of tea either, doubt i'll purchase it. Can't really say it was creepy, had decent visuals. Pretty much what Anjow said sums it up for me.

Also for the record I'm not just damning it because it's a console game - I really liked MOH: Airborne.

I think it is pretty, but something about the gameplay seems off. Like it continues to move when you stop your mouse ever so slightly. I'm not sure I like it.

I love that. it makes it feel more real like it's the actual character looking around rather than remaning perfectly motionless.

I'm not certain, but isn't that the effect of 'mouse smoothing'? Knowing this game though there won't be an option to turn it off as there is an pretty much every other game.

It's an extension of the head bobbing motion that we typically find in most games. I can set the details to minimum and 800X600 res and it still does it.

If we are talking about the same thing, I have never seen this in any game... :-/

I think it is very frustrating.

Another complaint, there should be many more choices of mouse sensitivity. Low isn't low enough for me. I can get used to it, but I'm unhappy with it.

I think it looks good, I really do, but controls/gameplay are quite frustrating to get used to.

That's wierd. I'm not sure if we are thinking of the same thing here. My mouse has no lag. When I move it, the screen moves instantly. If I do a quick look in any direction, the screen doesn't stop moving right when the mouse stops moving. It sort of has a slight "bob" or tiny bit of extra movement on the screen once the mouse stops moving to simulate the way the human head looks around.

I agree that it's the first time I've ever seen anything like this and I for one love it becuase it's one of those little touches that adds a hair more realism to the experience. At least for me it does.

Well, there isn't any lag. I just think "bob" as up and down movement. If I look right, it will start moving right away, but continue to move for an extra 10th of a second or whatever. Maybe it's just the language use, probably describing the same thing I guess.

I figured they were trying to "add realism" like you say, because it is surely intentional, what I am experiencing. However, when I look right with my head and stop (IRL), it stops, my muscles don't continue to move after I've told them to stop. I think it is less realistic and annoying TBH.

I think that realistic or not, there should be an option for it. Something which this game seems to neglect in several areas.

100% Agree.

I would like to be able to turn that off, and lower my sensitivity below "low".

Ouch. I thought the graphics were something short of fantastic TBH, but the rest like I've said was lacking. Probably would have given it something in the 7.5 range.

3+ Hours into it. Its fun, and the Team-based system works relatively well (although I don't have any real basis for comparison) The graphics are quite nice. This is a game I will play through once, then give to a friend.
