do you still get credit for WUs....and can it send them out and get new ones, i ask this because my parents keep closing F@H thinking its wasting power and somehow bringing my grades down........
It will keep calculating, but the rest of the client is necessary for proper operation. It shuts down and restarts the core and the front end of the client will also send the work to and from Stanford.
You could always run it as a service so that nobody will see it running, unless they are shutting down the computer too.
Before I get into more hot water than I'm already spilling I might suggest that your parents are responsible for the power bill and it does cost money to run the client.
