If i was to get some new pc2400 ddr ram and run it with pc2100 ram would it run ok?

ya but the 2100 would limit your overclocking. You might actually get a slightly lower overclock with the 2400(or another 2100) than you did with just one 2100.

ok thankyou very much but i will just be doing temporarly till i get another 2400 stick so that wouldnt matter.

What kind of RAM is it? If you've got Crucial, you could probably run them both at PC2400.

well one is corsair the 2100 and the 2400 will be crucial

Crucial doesn't make 2400. I'm quite sure that you could run their 2100@2400 (probably 2700 if you were careful), but it's officially 2100. Did you get them mixed up?
