Hi everyone,

I've had a good look around, and can't see the answer - if i've missed it then apologies!

When I built my machine a year ago, I got 2gb (2x1) of Corsair TWINX XMS2 8500-C5 modules. I'm now upgrading my motherboard (to X38) and looking to add some more memory. As non-Dominator 1066 memory is pretty thin on the ground, what are the potential pitfalls of adding 2gb of XMS2 8500 Dominator memory to the mix? Is the only real difference a fancy heatsink?

Grateful for any advice!

Andy

as long as the stock specs are the same(voltage timings)you shouldnt run into any problems.your doms likely have micron d9gmh ics so you would do well to go with matching ics ie crucial 8500s.
