Any OpenGL programs in Windows XP pro will run at about 1 frame per second. D3D runs fine tho.

what video card are u usin? none of the display drivers that come on XPs cd support openGL. you just have to get the newest drivers from the card manufacturers webssite(something u should do once in a whiloe anyways:D )

yes, when i was having some slight display problems i decided to see how the xp driver would do w/ my geforce 2 gts. from then on no opengl game would work. i think i got something like "opengl driver failed to initialize", or "opengl support not detected". just download the cards newest drivers and i'm willing to bet that everything will run just fine

Yes like they said the drivers that Microshaft provides you with doesn't have OpenGL support and it runs Direct 3D.

To prevent this you will have to go your video card site and download their lastest drivers and your games will work better.
