Should a motherboard post without a CPU? I'm not a hundred percent sure but I thought I did this once just to test out a board and some memory. :beer: And of course the video card.

I once tried to do that. The only thing that happened was it turned on. But nothing else. Nothing posted.

Depends on the board.
Some do nothing, some give beep codes for "no processor", some have an error message.
