Someone must have tried this..
I am planning on water cooling for the first time but am very nervous about putting water by my CPU. Has anyone tried cooling air with water and that pumping the cold air into the case??

you cannot get the air cooler then it already is without using somehting else like a peltier.
leave a glass of water in a room for a bit, when you come back it will be the same temp as the room.
we use watercooling because water have a much better thermal capacity and thermal conductivity then air, so you muct watercool the cpu

How about a setup like this?
Hot air is cooled.

then just add more fans
air cooling is very poor, water is not and avheves great results, have a look at www.tekheads.co.uk for good products, their is no reason to fear water, it should not leak if done properly

True, water has a far higher Spec Heat Cap but air will convect much faster. This system should eliminate hot spots in the corners as the top of the case is usually very thin.
I was a little nervous about this at first as well so I put my pump after the block therefore at least I would not have any drips until I shut the unit down. I am now confident in its usage and am pushing water through the block. Running it after the block cost me about 2c but was worth it at the time due to peace of mind.
