What follows are my attempts to sort out network errors, no actually the lack of network support on a game released in the shops with print on the back stating online play.

Konami correspondence follows from 26/10/08 to today as well as this i have made four premium rate telephone calls to konami uk with advice such as go back to xp vista is not supported, check your ports etc etc followed by a oh **** actually it is our fault.

Network play is still not working properly as of time of writing
stay clear of this game!! you have been warned

Ok so i can now get on the network match setup now, but i can not join any
game at all.what is going on?

On friday i was told to format my vista setup by tech support and reinstall
xp as vista is not supported which i now find out to be bull****.

I got several emails with the usual it's "your fault" you must forward your
ports crap and i spoke to konami representatives in the UK on a premium rate
telephone line at no less than 75p per minute 4 times in 1 day before the 1
person who was actually helpful to me in this whole farce and after every
other attempt and many wasted hours pointed out, that the game's network
mode did not go live until monday 29/10/07 there must be some ****ing
genius's that work for konami is all i can say, i apologise to those who are
competent and to to the 1 guy who actually knew what he was talking about i
would like to say thankyou..

It has been 3 days since i bought this game and i can still get no
enjoyment from it, due in no small part, to the fact, that konami have once
again made a mess of the network support.and i am about 18 hours from
returning my copy to the game store where i work and advising every customer
who will listen to avoid this game like the plague

Please advise or lose a loyal fan.

After formatting my computer and installing Windows xp instead of vista
on your own "great advice" i can still not get a network game to work and
still just get the message "an error has occurred" How bloody helpful! whenever i press network game on the main menu.

All ports are forwarded on my router and firewall and i have even tried
disabling both altogether, i have already registred my serial to play
online.

I'm sick of fighting on with Konami games and their network problems
please advise me on how to solve this issue asap.

Never thought id say this but Fifa 08 never looked so good
