You'll get less restriction in the loop using a GPU-only block compared to using a full cover block. Usually GPU only blocks cool better than full cover equivalents. There's also the price factor, full cover blocks are double the price of GPU only blocks, and full cover usually can only be used once as they wont be compatible with the next card you upgrade to, whereas the GPU only block may be.

Some RAM sinks and a bit of airflow should be more than adequate to cool all other components (RAM, Mosfets, VRMs) if you decided to go with GPU only.
