View Full Version : Just woundering about the 8800GTS PNY.

I was wondering if it is at all worth changing or if possible updating the bios of the PNY 8800GTS 320 video card .
Does any one know if this would be possible ?
Could I get more from the video card by flashing the bios ?
Is there a BIOS update for this card ?
Is there any thing at all ? this card will not go passed 582/900 and that just plain sucks . :bang head
Any one ? help is needed ! :confused:

stop bumping so fast, a bios flash would only improve your performance if you flash it to higher clocks, other then that there is no way to improve the performance, i think you are talking about "unlocking the pipelines" ?

I don't know if this has any locked pipelines . I just don't know enough about this card yet . I would like to know if there is any one out there that has a bios flashed to get there PNY 8800GTS 320 to go higher than it is .

nope no way to unlock pipes, because they aren't there..atleast the bridges..

no other way to make it go faster then to overclock it

I guess I will just have to get another one then and SLI FTW!

why get another one? those cards don't perform as well as a 8800gt but cost more, you'd be better of spending your cash on 2x 8800gt in SLI

i mean if you sell your 8800gts and get 2 8800gt it would come out at about the same price of 2x 8800gts which you are considering, but 2x 8800gts will perform less ...

Well for one to sell this card would really be hard for me .
And how would SLI'ing the 2 8800GTS cards be less of a performer .
And also could I just get one of the 8800GT cards and SLI with the card I have now ? .

The GT is better than the current GTS.... and cheaper..

However, who the hell would buy his GTS when they could buy a GT?

Stop buying PNY products. I hate to urinate on anyones cloud, but they suck. Every PNY product I've ever purchased has turned out to be crap.

You can either volt mod or flash to higher clocks, but it's risky. Go SLI or get a GT and OC it.
