Just upgraded my system from 2 gigs of ram to 4. Amazing is all I can say. Call of Duty 4 Demo runs super smooth at 1920*1080 all settings maxed out. Awhile back I said that nobody needs 2 gigs of ram. I couldn't have been more wrong. I can't wait till my job rolls out Vista so I can get a free copy. When I get Vista I would love to try out 8 gigs of speedy ddr2 ram.
Crysis looks great too. I can run 1366*768 with the XP setting hack silky.

Did you notice a substantial difference in general with games and apps? What about boot times etc?

I am running 32-bit Vista though so I will only get the performance of about 3.5GB from what I've read, I dont want the driver support problems that come with 64. I've really been contemplating upgrading to more than 2GB since prices are so low.

Yeah, I'm wondering about the same things... Vista on my machine doesn't seem to use over 1gb of ram at any given time or over 1.7 in any games so far...

I noticed that my system was using 2.1 gb of memory. I knew it would improve my pc performance. If you are not sure if it will help you read the Tweak Guide. Its a free download and a great first step to pc tuning before spending money on new hardware.
