What's the difference between PC2700 and PC2400 DDR ram? Why are they named PC2700 and PC2400? How fast does it run? Are they supported by the Asus A7V266E board?

2700=166mhz fsb
2400=150mhz fsb

They are named so because of the memory bandwith at the above speeds.
2100=2.1gbs
2400=2.4gbs
2700=2.7gbs

You can use them in the asus a7v266e.
