I have a windows xp sp2 computer sharing internet. It has two network cards; one for connecting to the internet and one for connecting to the rest of the network. Up until this morning, both cards were working without a hitch. However, it now tries to run the new hardware wizard everytime the computer boots, trying to install the network card that connects to the rest of the network. The other card still works, but only the sharing computer has internet. The wizard is never able to install the "new" hardware, even with the CD in the drive. Even if I run the setup on the CD manually, after rebooting the new hardware wizard pops up again. This has never happened to me before, and I'm about out of ideas. Any thoughts?

can you try the network card in a different pc and let us know the results.

i doubt its a bad network card, seems more like a problem with windows registering the driver for the card.

if you try it in another pc and its ok then you know its the installation of windows which is causing you the problem
