Sorry guys for the newb I am :yepp:

All I want is a stable 3.00Ghz.

So far I've only put my Bus Speed at 333 and left the rest at AUTO
(I can hear you guys laugh hehe).

Have put my Mem at 1066, 5-5-5-15 2T and also the rest at AUTO
since I have no clue what to change and how.

Temps: GPU@36c | CPU@20c | MB@25c

Can some help set/explain what I can do to make it stable?

See my Sig for my Rig, thanks guys :p:

p.s. Bios 1402 (no problems so far), just overclocked my memory
@1113mhz with the option of memory speed. Did not change
timing or volt (too scared haha)

Run memory 1:1 and tighen timings.

Take vCore off auto set to 1.35... up if you need more.

Hey,

Something weird with my bios, somehow I can't change the Vcore and some other
main settings under Manual Tweaking. It's like they are locked?

I'll try to reboot with standard settings and reset the overclocking options. Vcore
I can find, but do I also need to change the voltage of my memory?

The memory is suppose to be at 2.3v at 5-5-5-15
(OCZ DDR2 PC2-8500 / 1066 MHz / Reaper HPC Edition / Dual Channel), but they
are now running at 1111Mhz with Voltage on Auto.

What do you mean by 1:1 timings?

Thanks a lot man :)

It wasn't locked grr, I just had to add the value instead of pressing ENTER!

Lol anyways, here are my main bios settings:

does it need to be 1.35v in CPUz?

Hi, I have a similar configuration

My new configuration is
Q6600
OCZ Reper 2x1GB 1066 DDR2
Asus P5E
9600GT
Raptor 150GB + 750GB Sata II
Tsunami
Powercooler 550W Modular

I dont know what to do when i have to put the reper.... i know i have to cofigure the voltage manualy and the lantency too but I dont know how to...

I also would like to do a litle OC on the memory , the Q6600 and the 9600GT ....

how do i do all this stuff .... if someone can give me a hand hear because I am very new at this ....

thks....

greetings, fellow P5E owners.
from oc-ing you will learn that the Asus P5E is a great board indeed :)
i did the Rampge Formula BIOS flash, and it's a charm. no vdroop at all
elcucoarg and xelation, read the sticky called 'how to oc c2d dual and quad' or something similar, as it will tell you all you'll need to know.

OP have you done any stress testing to your overclock to see if it is stable?? I could give you a few settings when i get home to try.

Oh not to steal the thread but anyone have the settings to get a Q6600 to 4ghz?? on a P5E

hey gotcha, who's OP? =S
oh btw, remember the enquiry about the pencil mod? it's not necessar anymore, because after i did the Rampage Formula bios flash and enabled loadline calibration (i think it was) my vdroop was eliminated, while vdrop is a minute .015

Glad to hear it! I just flashed mine with the new 701 bios, But i didn't check to see if it was fixed. I have 0 droop
