GPU fan is rattling and driving me CRAZY

I got my 7600GT back in Feburary or sometime around there, and within a few days, the fan started rattling, so I RMAd it and got the one that I have currently. But over the last few weeks, it has been rattling more and more, to the point where for the last couple of days, it hasn't stopped.

It's loud enough that I can hear it two rooms away through two closed doors, and even having my speakers up all the way doesn't completely drown it out.

Any ideas on how I can get it to stop rattling?

get a third party cooling heatsink and your own fan?
If not, then rip out that fan and put a fan of your choice on top

an aftermarket heatsink would be a great choice if I wern't getting rid of the card in a couple of weeks, and I can't replace the fan, because it's shrouded.

Is there a program that I can use to adjust the speed of the fan? I thought Rivatuner could do that, but I can't find the option anywhere.

replace it or rip out the old one and add a fan over top like above.

my new 8600GT under load hit 73C so i added a second fan over the stock one. both are on and its dropped temps 5C or more in combination with some AS5. the fan is obviously broken so take the stock heatsink off and i'm sure you can get at the fan, pull it out and add a new fan over top.

I have a 7600GT also (evga) on stock and it rattles randomly, but is very loud when it does.
I don't think the fans are on there correctly.

while rattling one time I had my case open and I tapped the fan with my finger and it stopped.

I haven't been able to find a permanente fix though.

my dads old geforce 4 fan did that and i had to hit the fan like 10 times before it would STFU. i replaced the **** heat sink (basically a sheet of aluminum) with a older proc heatink and added a 60mm fan. before you couldn't touch the core for very long now its lightly warm.
