I have the VisionTek Xtasy 5564 with the newest 23.11 drivers. Everytime I try to run 3Dmark2001 I get lock ups. It happens around the second or third game. The vidoe card is not O.C.ed it has ram sinks and a lapped Blorb on it. Any ideas as to why this is happening and how I can fix it.
hrmmmmmmmmmmmmm
there can be many factors causing this
first thing i would do (me)
reinstall it and install 3dmark 2000, if it does it to 3dmark 2000 then somefin is wrong
what about games, do games run fine
agp settings will cause many lockups. most common: agp interface when set to 4x. fast writes, sideband addressing. tell us about all your driver adn agp settings.

Well lastnight I was playing Ghost Recon and got to level 13. To day I went to start back on level 13 and it froze about 5 minutes in to it. Right now I'm running the 21.81 or 21.83 drivers.

It`s all stock. Only thing I did was add some ram sinks and a Blorb.

Are you sure the hs is making good contact with the gpu?Did you use any thermal paste on it?

try out some pci settings in the bios. you might have there the "byte merge" available, "dilayed transaction". i think its difficult to be right about one exact setting but if you can list here how everything is set in the bios for the pci this will make it easier to help.

I used the two side tape that came with it. I don't have the two holes on the card to use.

Hmmmm... What OS are you using? Might be a problem there, but that's the last option.
You said that you are not over clocking graphics card.
What about your system? I see your CPU is unlocked.

I'm running Windows 98S.E. and the T-Bird is bumped up 50MHz by way of the multiplier.
