View Full Version : VRAM dying or overheating?

It's quite a rare occurrence but it has me worried. This also seems to be the only thing happening, just weird texture which have so far always looked the same as the screenshot.

How long has this been happening?

That looks more to be a driver issue than anything since memory issue is a little more random I'd say. You'd be seeing it widely over the screen.

hhm come to think of it I did install the latest drivers the other day though only been getting this today
I'll go back to some older ones then I guess

If it's not a driver issue, I noticed some texture blocking and fluctuating in TF2 when I didn't have the memory chips properly cooled on my 8800. You could try blowing a home fan on the card if the problems dont go away on a driver rollback, if that fixes it then heat is the issue.
