4 Speaker inWin2k work no more?

I have 2 Gigabyte GA-7ZX mobos with Creative CT5880 onboard sound chips. Both ran Win98 with 4 speaker output working perfectly fine. The one system was then upgraded to a Win2k system and now when I enable 4-speaker output, it doesn't work anymore. Anyone know how to remedy this? Also, why can't I adjust the volume control "Advanced Properties" anymore either??

It's all down to the Win2K drivers, see if you can find some newer ones. I doubt you will find any that support the advanced controls these days, I'm using some golden oldies that still do on my PCI128. Try a Google search for your soundchip or Gigabytes own support page.

Perhaps you need the lastest sound card drivers.
