I have one of these cards.

The card is not automagically installed in XP. Also, included driver is not signed.

Linux picks it up without any hassle.

So far it has been a reliable card for me. About 3 years now.

good deal.

i picked up trendnet giga cards for $1 AR each (plus newegg shipping) a while back... still have to use the darn things, though...

I've got one of these too. They're common RTL8169-based cards...basically the same chips that onboard Gbit adapters use.

I can get the Trendnet cards of the same chipset at Fry's for $4.99 just about every other week.
